*For the well testing / flow back companies below I HIGHLY recommend trying to start in the shop / rig up so you have a higher chance of getting hired on. Once you have stuck around for a bit, start pressing management / supervisors on how you want to get into the field and become an operator. *

Rig up guys do not make the most hourly. You may see 14-16$ an hour offers and you SHOULD TAKE IT. You will work a ridiculous amount of overtime that builds your paycheck into the 2500-4500 take home range (biweekly). Do not bitch and whine about the work. It’s going to suck, but if you want the money this is what it costs.
