My husband didn't get me a birthday card because he felt he "didn't love me enough".
Post Body

His birthday is tomorrow. We were great friends before we dated and have been married for almost eight years.

The event stated in the title happened over the summer, and it still hurts. It's the first time it's happened in the eleven years we've been together. I don't care about my birthday and I never ask for gifts (if I want something, I buy it myself), but he knows I love receiving cards. I'm not sure what to write in his birthday card this year.

Edit: To answer the question of why I haven't left yet, my husband and I have two kids (first grade and kindergarten). My husband is a fantastic dad. I don't want to take the kids away from their dad, but I'd also be devastated if I couldn't be with them.
