A couple of months ago, me and a couple of my friends went a local bar to celebrate my 22nd birthday. The bar was less than 10 minutes from college (I was a senior in college when it happened). The night was going great, as I was vibing with my friends, buying them shots, talking to girls. The night was going fairly well. Later that night, I went to the bathroom because I had to take a leak. And coincidentally, as soon as I walked in, there were two dudes that were name-dropping me. One of the guys that was talking about me was a dude I was fairly chill with. I had a couple of classes with him, had lunch with him and his friend group a couple of times, never had a problem with him and he was fairly chill.
When I walked into the bathroom, I heard him mention my name so I said "sup" to him. Unfortunately, he didn't hear me as he was washing his hands, so I continued to walk to the urinal to take a leak. The guy and some other dude continuously talked smack about me while I was taking a piss and they continued to when I walked over to the sink to wash my hands. Oddly the guy, standing next to me, continued to talk about as if he didn't acknowledged me. Either the dude has no self-awareness or is an absolute psychopath that was doing that on purpose. The guy stopped washing his hands, turned around, walked to the door while continuing to talk to the other guy, and went back outside.
Here is some of the stuff the two guys mentioned about me:
- Getting transported to the hospital freshman year because I had a panic attack after hitting a dab pen
- Always screwing up group projects (I hate group projects in general)
- Getting cut/not getting a bid from a frat I was rushing
- Being socially awkward around girls, which would accidentally make them uncomfortable
- Claiming I don't have any friends despite being at the bar with them
- DMing girls (it was my last semester in college so I stopped caring lol)
The reason why I didn't say anything was because I was hammered LOL, and I didn't throw a punch because I didn't want to get arrested or kicked out of the bar. I chose to ignore them because I wanted them to continue to talk about me and let themselves look like jackasses. Keep in mind, I'm 6 feet tall, I work out on a regular basis and I weigh almost 200 pounds. One of the guys was shorter and weighed less than me. The other guy was fat and was roughly the same height as me. The reason why I didn't do anything was because, in my head, I was like I wasn't going to let this ruin my night.
What's even more odd is that the dude that was washing his hands continues to say hi to me in public. So it's a given that he has a fake personality. Do y'all think I did the right thing and not say anything about it? Or should I have confronted him about it?
