I text with my friend about once every three months. Not the best at communication as far as people go, but I can’t help being such an introvert. He texted me today out of the blue to check on me and when he mentioned that a member of our old friend group was dealing with something, I apologized for not keeping up continuous contact with everyone/falling out of the loop. He reassured me even if we didn’t speak every day, he knew I always had his back and he always had mine no matter what. It was a bit of weight off my shoulders to know that even if I never said a word, he knew exactly how I was feeling.

I guess what I learned is guys should talk to their friends more often. You don’t know what someone is going through and just talking to them reminds them someone knows they exist. And cares. I don’t think my friend has Reddit but if he does, thanks for reaching out to me today, Harrison
