My parents were British and American. So we lived in the US for a minute, came back to the UK for several years, and then back to the US. My parents were hard working individuals with amazing work ethics. Were given opportunities to jump ahead, but they involved scrupulous ways my parents refused. So we always lived pay check to pay check. They have both now passed and I still live just above paycheck to paycheck. Not even close to an upgrade to business or first class. I tried signing up for credit cards with miles, but really? It’s been a year and I have earned 4500. The hotel I looked into cost 98,000 a night. And no that wasn’t a suite. A regular room. It’s not a big deal, I’m used to being crammed during flights and having a tiny no view room. The room bugs me least. I’m out doing stuff, batley in the room. But one day.. one day I’d like to visit my family on a 13 hour flight in comfort. Or any flight in comfort. That’s my top bucket list item. Silly, I know.
