First it was my DVD player* not able to play anything anymore, then my phone being iffy with the start button so i cant turn on my screen half the time (now 90% of the time it doesnt work), then my laptop sound being echoey and crackly whenever we stream movies. Not to mention our home tv screen is iffy with starting half the time, and Netflix wont play through my HDMI cable.
You know what? Fuck technology, im done with the whole thing. Ive had it with all the gadgets and internet shit. All i wanted was the old CD cassette player radio but people had to make high tech stuff that arent built to be useful for long. I miss having an MP3 player that only plays songs and fits in a little pocket for when I'm walking. I miss having an alarm clock that actually wakes me up and is not a phone.
Windows 10 is shit, it runs so many apps in the background it overheats the CPU for doing nothing. I had to uninstall all VST plugins from my LMMS because the stupid machine cant handle it. Even the built-in Zyn is enough to overload this thing. I bought a gaming laptop last year so I'd be futureproof for 5 years at least, and all it took was a DAW to find this thing's limits. Now I can't decide to buy FruityLoops or Ableton because either might not work properly on this computer anyway.
Tried to switch off unused apps. I had to dig through settings to tell it to quit sending my data out, but i still cant log out my Microsoft account from it and it loads automatically without pressing on or clicking anything. So id just traded one security concern for another.
And the battery runs out so fast, its ridiculous, makes laptops practically desktops the way theyre plugged in all the time.
*I had the DVD player repaired today. It's working well, reads both DVDs and CDs. The problem now is that it won't show on TV when connected. That was possible before but not it's not.
I'm not even a gamer, and my social media is mostly empty. I don't need to do a lot of networking for my job. All I need is a DAW, media player, and office apps, bare bones everything else. Why won't they just let me listen to and make music in peace.
