My teaching job decided not to renew me, which should’ve been a blessing in disguise because it wasn’t the best fit for me and it doesn’t pay enough for me to live on my own. But I’ve applied for 18 teaching jobs, and only one has even called me back. I genuinely feel like I’ve been put on earth to teach, and it’s absolutely soul-crushing to not get any interest from most schools. And even the one that did a phone interview hasn’t gotten back to me in over 2 weeks. I feel like I’m about to be kicked out of the profession that’s given my life a guiding purpose, and the despair is driving me insane. I feel so sad and hollow. Any kind words are much appreciated.
