7 year ago, I moved out of an apartment, and found the place I was going to move into had been rented out from under me, making me effectively homeless. I made $15,400 that year.
5 years ago I paid off a loan I had been in default on for a decade.
3 years ago I paid off my last debt, and became debt free. I made $32,800 that year
8 months ago I opened my first IRA
4 months ago my cash car died, and I took out a small loan to pay for a nicer vehicle. I stopped contributing to my IRA and my house fund. I am throwing everything at this and should have it paid off by the end of the year.
Today, I checked to see what my retirement was doing, and it has gained over $400 in interest. I will make $43,000 this year.
