One of my best friends in the entire world is leaving for basic training for the National Guard tomorrow and although I know it’s just basic instead of like actual deployment, I’m trying so hard to keep myself together when it comes to him leaving.

He’s been one of the closest people to me for years and I’m kinda impartial about him leaving because I’m really going to miss him over these next 16 weeks but I also know that him going into the military was a big dream of his for what seems like forever. I also know that he’s going to send me letters but it won’t be the same as having him by my side or sending me memes while he’s on break and at home.

I’m just really going to miss him and it’s really hard to keep myself together right now, thank you for listening.
