4 years ago when trump was elected as president, I felt like something very fundamental had broken with the world. Empathy, which is at the very core of humanity, had been shattered and left to bleed out on the streets while every horrible human tendancy like racism, sexism, hatred and homophobia had been given a forum to rear it's ugly head and take centre stage. And over the next 4 years, we saw humanity degrade and the world become plagued with one problem after the other. And at the centre of all the chaos and suffering stood trump, as if symbolising, personifying everything that was rotten in the world.

Today, I see hope. I know that Biden doesn't have all the answers, I get that Biden will not be able to solve all the problems. But I feel like we can start heeling now. And Biden will be able to help not just the US but the entire world in the healing process.
