I have known this friend since the 7th grade. He’s almost 30 now. Still lives his life like he’s in his teens. I felt a personality change with him senior year of high school. He really changed when he got his first big dose of reality. He was abusing the family dog and was relentless to his 2 younger brothers. One of them who happens to have bipolar got a citizenship award and my friend just said he didn’t deserve it and was lying through his teeth to get it. Then he kinda just mellowed out after that in his own little world.

Eventually he got an opportunity to move back to Florida to live with his dad and his girlfriend. From what he talked about he was never particularly fond of her. She some how had a heart attack in her 40s and passed. Not out of the realm of possibility but I feel my friend maybe played a role somehow. Then him and his dad moved to Oklahoma. Then from there he moved in with a friend in Minnesota. He got a job and lived there for a while. Not to much was heard from him during that time

Something happens and due to financial reasons has to move back in with his mom who moved back to Florida from Arkansas. He seems back to his normal self. Every time I’ve talked to him since moving down here he’s had his typical ups and downs with his mood. But recently and I don’t quite know why I’ve been noticing another decline in mood. His family has tried to encourage him getting help but can’t save his money at all. I think he’s getting fed up with his family and I just got this feeling that there days are numbered. He’s just been so distorted with things lately and he’s been pretty cold as of late.
