To make a long story short, it's been a year since my last relationship. I took lots of time off for myself, then started dating again, and realized I wasn't ready, so again I took time off for myself until now.
I thought posting in the local r4r community couldn't hurt and that I'd give it a try. Thought I would get at least a handful of great replies, but instead got over a dozen offers of sexual stuff from the gender I wasn't seeking in the post.
I got a reply from one, yes, that's right just one nice person who roughly fit what I was looking for but wasn't a match.
I've always been hesitant about dating apps. I hear people don't respond, they only want sex, and it's hard to make connections, especially for men.
But honestly, what do I have to lose?
I'm strongly considering just buying a month of a premium membership on whatever app and just going for it. Being myself and seeing where it takes me.
It's scary to me. But I'm going to try to talk myself into it and give it a go.
Edit; Iām dumb and forgot that there was one person that might be a match. So Iām feeling pretty happy right now :)
