One of my biggest dreams is to become a mother, and I'm really looking forward to having kids in the next 10 years, but I would feel really guilty about bringing them into this world. This world that might hate them for who they are, or that might not be inhabitable by the end of their lifetime. I believe climate change has really compromised the human species beyond repair at this point, and I can't see the planet still being a pleasant place to live by 2060.
I have the feeling that I wish I could have kids early as possible "before it's too late" to live a safe and happy life on this planet.
My parents told me that when 9/11 happened, they felt similar guilt about having brought children into a world where such tragedies like 9/11 were possible.
Just curious if anyone relates to this, or has any thoughts to share.
