So my mom has always had issues in the past with pain. It’s been going on for well over ten years. It got so bad that she turned to heroin in 2015. My dad also lost his job that year and the use just went up from there. My dad received his 401k money from being fired and it was around 40 grand. This was around April it was gone by about August or September. Parents borrowed profusely from me to keep up with addiction and bills all the groceries went on credit cards. So then my mom gets some loan and we’re good for a couple more months but continued borrowing. This goes on through 2016. In 2017 my grandmother dies and leaves me and my brother 20k and my mom gets 20k too but we didn’t receive that for a few weeks. So needless to say I get borrowed til I’m damn near penniless trying to keep enough for bills and other living. The money comes things are good until July and that money was in March. More borrowing. When I moved out to live with my ex wife at the end of the year I had enough to move out and live in my own for alittle bit. So between my ex wife’s spending and my moms need for drugs my money went down quite a bit. There are a few good saves. My mom quit her job and received 20 grand from them because a few years back she got a hardship loan to help with things before dad lost his job. So my ex wife screws me over I want a divorce and to move out this happens end of May. The last of that 401k money is gone and my parents are doing everything to prevent all of us going homeless while my mom still continues to use for her pain. Hell I don’t even know how we can afford food next week it will probably be off of my check once I pay for insurance. Part of me just wants to tell them fuck off and just live out of my car. The other half of me says ride it out. I’m tired of having to suffer because of my mom. It pisses me off more than anything. Please people don’t get into a life of drug use. You’ll never be able to keep up.
I try praying that everything will be alright and to help my family but all these things piling on just makes me want to give up sometimes
