We’ve been friends for as long as I can remember. We’ve always truly been there for one another- through family deaths, divorces, you name it. He moved to Vegas a few years back for work, but we saw each other as often as we could. A few times a year. My family had some plans out in Vegas, so I flew out here to see him. We took his car to the club where my family was partying it up. He drank quite a bit, kept pressuring me to drink, but hey, someone had to drive us home.

When the fun was over, he started getting angry. Angry I didn’t know exactly where to go (casinos are damn mazes even sober), where the car was. And fucking furious that I told him I wouldn’t let him drive. He got in my face and told me things like “I’m fucking pissed dude give me my keys now” over and over and over. I didn’t let him drive home, and every time i denied him, he got more angry and I got more sad. Text can’t really describe how drunk and angry he was. This isn’t something that has ever happened, and I’ll be damned if I’m friends with someone who wants to drink and drive, and someone who treats me like that. It’s just not how we do things, and I’m seriously shocked and hurt that he’d do any of that. I know some friends do this shit on a regular basis. So it might sound like not a big deal. But my relationships with my friends....I guess I just can’t stand that kind of disrespect.
