Should I just keep my mouth shut or attempt to educate the homophobic people at my university?
Post Body

I just started back to school after a 10 year absence. It was really bad back then, but I thought it would be better by now. However, I've already had the school counselor tell me that I shouldn't be gay because it's against her religion. And then today in class, the teacher mentioned something about homosexuality in film, and how it's much more prevalent today than in the 50s. Several people voiced their disgust and said how terrible it was that there were so many gay people.

So, the next time it happens, should I educate them, specifically about how most people who are homophobic tend to have hidden homosexual desires themselves? Or should I just let it go?
