I just started college recently after a 10 year hiatus. The reason I left last time is because people were verbally attacking me in my Social Problems class for being gay, and the teacher (who was my cousin, a veterinarian, allowed it). Well, I've gone through some pretty rough times recently (best friend was murdered, family problems, etc), so I decided to go see the college's counselor. When I told her that my parents weren't okay with me being gay, she said she agreed with them because she is Christian too. I thought counselors were supposed to be non-biased, especially at state universities? Wtf.
