Would You Date Someone in a Wheelchair? I’m Lonely and It Sucks (Update) Thank You.
Post Body

Hey Reddit,

Wow—I’m honestly blown away by the response to my original post. I never expected so many thoughtful, kind, and supportive comments and messages. It’s been amazing to see people from all walks of life share their perspectives, experiences, and encouragement.

I even had a reporter reach out to me about doing a story on dating, disability, and breaking the stigma! It feels incredible to know that this conversation is resonating with so many people and helping to shine a light on something that’s often overlooked.

I’ve received messages from people who’ve shared their own experiences dating someone with a disability, as well as stories from wheelchair users who’ve faced similar challenges. The kindness and solidarity in this community have made me feel a lot less alone.

Of course, there’s still a lot of work to do in beating the stigma surrounding dating and disability. But seeing this discussion unfold gives me so much hope. We’re showing the world that everyone deserves love and connection, no matter their circumstances.

That said, I’d still love to hear from more of you! If you haven’t chimed in yet, feel free to share your thoughts:

Would you date someone in a wheelchair? What would encourage—or discourage—you from building a connection with someone who has a disability?

To those who’ve taken the time to engage with this post: thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your insights and positivity mean the world to me. And hey, if you’re feeling inspired, let’s keep this conversation going—I’d love to hear more stories, perspectives, and advice.

Thanks again, Reddit. You’ve reminded me that even in the toughest moments, there’s a lot of good out there. Here’s to breaking barriers and finding connections that truly matter.

– Danny
