I recently saw the Windriver and it re-triggered a memory I have from a year ago. My ex (21) wanted to try weed for the first time with her guy friend. Now I didn’t see the problem with this as this was her best friend of 10 years and it was just gonna be them two. Note this took place in my shed so I would come home to this and was planning on joining.

When I got home and I went to the shed there was 7 other blokes there smoking and drinking. All veterans of smoking weed and would know what they were doing. I knew most of them and thought it was chill. She was wearing very short shorts and a hoodie and was sitting up on my 8ball table. Everyone else was on chairs, their eye level at her waist. Everyone seemed very surprised I was there and they didn’t want to share the weed. Shortly after I arrived they all left.

She was having a great time and went and had a shower. I could tell she was absolutely inhibited. I went to clean the shed of all the empty alcohol bottles and found a little jar labeled ‘Jungle Juice’. Now this in my country is called poppers. It’s used to give you a quick high, relax your muscles, lower inhibitions and give a euphoria sexy feel. This was not never discussed not agreed to being at my place. When I confronted her about it she acted really confused and took it and held it with so much strength I had to use both hands to take it back from her. Was very strange someone snatching and death gripping this jar they had ‘never seen before’.

Now all this could have been just completely harmless. Just peeps wanting to hang, share a safe space to try stuff and have a good time. The guy best friend however was the one to bring the poppers and I’ve found out he has tried to hookup with all his ‘best girl friends’ after I’ve been reportedly told he wouldn’t try anything.

I just can’t help the feeling that this could’ve gone very sinister giving all the pieces in play and how men can be.
