Got called a “f***ing weirdo” by some girl at the gym and it bothers me too much
Post Body

Was sitting on a bench doing some flies and some girl got on the smith machine next to me. I was resting and we made eye contact a few times through the mirror cause we were like 5 feet away from each other. I kinda smiled at her a little cause I wanted to look friendly and not like a creep since we made eye contact so much but I guess it did the opposite effect. Out of no where she started saying something to me so I took my headphone out and said what’s up. She said “are you gonna work out or just keep staring at people you f***ing weirdo?” I was taken aback and didn’t really know how to respond so I just kinda pointed to my dumbbells and said I’m resting, then she started saying something else and I put my headphones in and continued my sets. I get that women always feel on the defensive at the gym cause of creeps but like, I don’t think I was acting like one. Am I just supposed to stare blankly at the ceiling while resting during sets? I carried on like normal and finished my sets, then got on the stairmaster. I swear to god too, it felt like she hopped on to a different machine every 2 minutes that was within my vision, like she was baiting me to look at her again. Felt like she had some dilemma against guys at the gym and was trying to easily label someone as a gym creep. I just ignored it. Idk why I felt compelled to post this, just don’t like being called things I’m not
