This is for my fellow AA brothers and sisters. This has been going on for decades. Why are we so obsessed with keeping up with the next person or celebrities. Why do we choose to support these high end brands that could care less and about you or your community but you choose to keep making them richer? The Chanel, Prada, Gucci, LV, Dior,....why do you keep buying their items? If you must have expensive luxury items, then why not support your own black owned luxury clothing lines? There are plenty that make shoes, watches, clothing, etc.

I've never understood the fascination with posting how much money you paid for a pair of shoes when you have folks, who know you personally, see you borrow money to pay your own rent. To be honest, people don't care what you have on. Unless you tell them, no one will ever know how much you paid for something. Those $600 flats you bought from Chanel still look just like the $20 fake ones at Burlington Coat Factory or Ross.

Why are so many of us like this?
