I'm (20M) finishing my degree in film production and have submitted a film I made to film festivals. Everyone who's seen it has said it's really impressive etc and that I have a lot of talent in the art of filmmaking.

Here's my biggest concern tho: back in high school (which is when you're 11-16 yrs old here in the UK) I became well-known in my year (grade) when I was 14 after I sent a video of myself masturbating in my science class group chat. I was already known for being kinda weird but in a jokey sense, and in this scenario me and the class were playing truth or dare and I was dared to send it.

To this day I have absolutely no idea why I sent that video, and all I can remember is the instant dread and anxiety I felt after a day. I remember being embarrassed and ashamed for the rest of my time in high school.

The police did get involved (since it counts as producing cp) and that's a whole other story, but even if I was arrested I'd still hate myself more for what I did.

Now let's say the film I've submitted makes me a name for myself, wins me an award and my name pops up in the media somehow - and then eventually someone who knew back in school will at least Tweet online saying '[my name] sent his d*ck in a class group chat back in high school'. My reputation would absolutely crumble. And even if that doesn't happen, just the thought of how people who knew me will forever think of me as that one guy who did what he did already fills me with dread, especially if they see my name on my news and think 'ew it's that guy'.
