Received my final paycheck after filing wage theft complaint and it's bitter sweet.
Post Body

After 4 months I finally received half of my final paycheck which I demanded when I discovered it was stolen from me in the first place. They never answered my calls or texts. Finally I make a claim with the equal rights division and 4 months later I receive my 800$ today. It's very bitter sweet. Many people who worked for me and before and after I worked there will never see their stolen money. I asked the department why they don't investigate further. They said they investigate on a case by case. I said I know you have received dozens of complaints against my former employer why are you waiting for them instead of preventing them. The clerk paused and said it's just how it is. It just makes me sick. The company is stealing from children, from mothers, from literally homeless people and they have no remorse and no consequences. I'm absolutely hateful about this and I have never felt such hatred. I've never even wished bad for someone until now. I want to go to the news or something with power because this is atrocious. 15 years ago they lost a civil suite for wage theft of minors over 50k and their still doing it.
