I’ve seen posts like one today on Reddit where someone has found out their partner was cheating and it’s completely heartbreaking. I personally believe that any person who cheats is automatically completely untrustworthy forever. Society has pretty much normalised cheating as if anyone can do it, but it genuinely takes a lot of gut and skill to even consider doing it and then actually doing it. If someone cheats on you, and you separate but than get back together, it still means they could cheat on you again. There’s a famous British radio host who’s extremely kind and funny and he really makes my day, but I hate thinking about how his spouse is a woman who cheated on him in the past before they separated and then got back together. If I found out my partner was cheating, I would tell them to leave and be with that person and never talk to me again. You’ve used me as ‘love insurance’ in case your secret relationship doesn’t work out so you have me to fall back on. If your partner cheats on you, please please never go back to them and don’t assume cheating is a normal and natural thing when it really isn’t.
