I’m not a ‘controlling man’ for wanting a girl who’s younger and shorter than me as a partner
Post Body

I (19 M) get asked sometimes what my type of woman would be if I had to choose physical appearance, and my response is always ‘younger and shorter’ (ofc there’s limits to how young but anyways).

And there’s been so many times either on Twitter/X or Reddit where someone says ‘Men go for younger and smaller girls so they can’t control them’ and this really gets on my nerves.

I’ve grown up all my life being the youngest out of not just my family, but out of all my first cousins, and even in school I’m usually one of the youngest in the room. I’m also the shortest guy at 5’8 in my family and relatives while every other guy is at least 6’, so puberty really didn’t like me lol.

And it’s because of how I’ve grown up that I want someone who’s younger (even if it’s only 1 day age difference) and shorter which I already know isn’t difficult since there are loads of women even I know who are shorter than me.

But calling me a controlling person? For someone who prides themselves on how great they are at respecting and looking after women and other people in general, it really does hurt a lot.
