I (39f) had asked my bf (38m) of 6 yrs to just get serious and get married. He said he wasn’t ready so I asked to break up. We ended up staying as fwb with the goal to wind it down. 3 yrs later and I feel ready, I don’t s e him like a partner anymore and I don’t even desire him intimately when he’s away.

He comes back for a long trip and now tells me he wants to get married! Of course I said no and I want to be just friends going forward but man that really hurts. I’m frankly insulted that he thought I would wait that long and I can just flip my feelings on a whim.
