I 27m live with my roommate 26f. Lately she's been really into this dude but they aren't a couple. It hard to describe what their relationship is but honestly that doesn't matter in the long run. She is my ex but we are also friends still. The last few months have been hell because of her relationship. One moment she's asking for advice the next she's blowing up at me because of the same advice she just asked for. I never discourage their relationship but I have given her the advice that it's perfectly fine to take things slow or tell her it sounds like they are moving extremely fast. Today I nearly lost it on her. We are talking and she brought up her relationship it was mostly just talk until the end where she confessed she had a secret from him. After telling me the secret I said she should tell him because it will ultimately hurt her relationship if she waits. For some reason that sent her down a rabbit hole of insulting me, degrading, and justifying the actions of a dude who was acting inappropriate twords her. This isn't the first time and probably won't be the last where this happens. It happens regularly infact. For a while after these incidents anything I tell her even when she wants my advice she usually follows up with 'youre just jealous'. I'll be the first to admit sometimes I'm jealous of how she treats him but I never let that effect anything I tell her. I think her insults to me are what are driving me crazy the most. She'll insult my looks, penis, even the fact I only just started college. Honestly considering tossing her ass to the curb I'm so done with it. Thanks for listening to me rant.
