The other night I was picking up a pizza with my friend. I noticed a really cute delivery driver who walked out as we were walking in. While we were waiting for the pizza, my friend and I played some catch with a football in the parking lot. She was sitting in her car watching us and every time I threw the ball she'd say "great throw" or "wow you have a great arm". I took this is being mostly just friendly and my friend and I drove away after getting the pizza but then my clueless self realized that was probably at least some level of flirting and my friend agreed.

As we were a few minutes down the road I decided I wanted to turn around and ask her for her number. I asked if she was single and if so, if I can have her number. She said yes to both and we started texting immediately after I left. For the entire following day, she was constantly sending me pictures and messages and we had really great conversation. Then she asked me if I wanted to hang out and I said of course, when are you available? She suggested the next day and I said that'd be great. We settled on go karts and dinner and she told me I made her blush by asking for her number and that she couldn't believe I turned around just for her and she was so excited to meet me.

So it was about time to leave for the date (I was all dressed and had my keys in my hand about to walk out the door) and she texts me and says "hey, I'm going to go meet up with some friends at a concert instead. Do you want to do something tomorrow? I still really want the date" I was pretty irritated because she clearly blew me off at the last minute but said okay to the next day. But yet again she says she can't do it again and I told her then she clearly has no intentions on meeting me. I asked her what she was even looking for, a relationship or something more casual and all she says is "neither lmao"...

It just hurts honestly.. I haven't always had the courage to ask women for their number but the few times I have, I have been confident and successful with it. I just don't understand..

Why give me your number? Why tell me I made you blush and you really want to meet me? Why did YOU ask ME to hangout and blow me off twice?

I guess it's just a fun game for some people and the feelings of the person on the other end doesn't matter to them at all.

Update - She's been blocked and now I'm eating tacos lol
