i hate how "convenient" this world has become. everything is "order ahead" "drive through" "express" “same day delivery”. i work in a pharmacy and the fact people roll their eyes when i tell them 10 minutes (when it's supposed to take us 15) to get their script ready??? what do you people want? if something is so important you can't be bothered to wait 10 minutes, why are you even making a fuss? why are you looking around for other people to help you when we're understaffed and i am the only one here to help the line. YES you have to wait just like everyone else.
things take time. not everything can happen right this instant. i dont get why that is so hard for some people to understand. and especially when they fuss at you for not having it ready, but dont even give you basic respect because it's "your job". so what if it's my job? you should still see me as a human that deserves empathy and not some slave that simply exists to get what YOU need. people are completely blind to the needs of others and think their needs are the only ones that matter. it baffles me, truly. if you've ever been rude to a place clearly short staffed doing their best when demands are increasing and resources are decreasing, fuck you. i could keep going and get into detail, but people need to take responsibility for their own time and not put it all onto workers being told to do things instantly
