I messed up and can’t stop crying
Post Body

My university building complex does not have a registered address. When I use the main address for the university, often delivery people are thrown inside the maze of my school.

To make it easier for the drivers, I started using the address across from my building, which is also a university house. On the delivery notes, I highlighted to please call me as soon as they arrived, and to look for the building across the street.

It has worked for over a year. Drivers meet me at the street, and I pick up my food orders. But yesterday, was different. I ordered as usual, with the same note. But the driver didn’t read the note, instead went into the house and knocked on the door. I ran across the street, and tried to explain the situation. The student who lives in that house was rightfully upset. I tried to apologize, but the delivery person started going off at me.

I’m sure they were tired and embarrassed. They shouted at me, saying people like me are the reason our country was in ruin. I was too stunned, and I got a bit defensive. But he kept going.

I took my food and walked away. I haven’t being able to stop crying ever since. I know what I did was wrong. I’m sorry for all the trouble I caused. I’m sorry for being such a bad person. He had no way of knowing this, but his response just triggered all the trauma I carry. I was always told I was the reason bad things happened. I was ungrateful and a nightmare. God, I really wish I was never born.
