I see some people saying that they haven't been good since 'x' album and that the albums have gone downhill. Is this the general consensus? Or is it just that all bands have their "they haven't been as good as their peak" fans?
Because I personally really like "Freewave Lucifer", and I feel like I'm slowly starting to like "I Feel Safe With You, Trash" the more I listen to it. These albums feel like acquired tastes, where the more you listen to them the more you pick up on certain things and the more you appreciate certain parts. Although, I have been known to like the weird albums in the past. I really like "Centipede Hz" and "Painting With" by Animal Collective and a lot of people think that those were their worst albums.
