Guys, there has to be a quicker and less stressful way of explaining to the staff member at the counter that:
instead of the usual four advanced bookings I only had three and all three of those were allocated because due to The Glitch I had cancelled one of my bookings but even though it showed as cancelled it still said that I had a booking at that time therefore I couldn't re-book the film and this was called a ghost booking it's very common and all they need to do to rectify it is to give me a comp ticket so that I can go and see the film that I've come here for.
I kept explaining to the staff member at the counter and they didn't really understand me even though I broke it down and explained really simply what the problem was, finally they gave me a comp ticket but unfortunately I missed the first few minutes of the film and it was a stressful experience. Hopefully someone could give me some advice on how to handle this when it happens again because I can't be explaining three times and taking ages again :(
I showed them the app I showed them in past purchases that the screening that I wanted to go into was showing as cancelled I also showed them that if I try to re-book it it came up with a message saying I couldn't book it because I already had a booking at that time.
Then they asked me why I had cancelled it and I had to explain that you are only allowed four advance bookings but if the film you want to see is actually the same day that means that you can cancel it use that allocation for a fourth future booking and then rebook your film giving you five future bookings it was really complicated and even though it made perfect sense to me the staff member really didn't get it which is fair enough it's a bit complicated to explain to someone.
By the way I already contacted guest services and they said they don't give out guest passes anymore in circumstances like these so I just had to buy the ticket and then contact them to get refunded unfortunately this happened on a Sunday which meant that's guest services was closed and I didn't want to take the risk of buying the ticket and not getting refunded so that's why I went to the counter just before the film started and asked for them to comp my ticket
