does virtual desktop/alvr allow you to stream a game from your pc in one location to your quest 1 in another location

the 2 locations are 20 miles away for context.
i'm open to buying virtual desktop if it does work and doesn't require any fancy pants linux coding BS etc
i have only used air link so far when im streaming from my pc downstairs to my living room downstairs and it has been great so far and never fails or has bad image quality as far as i can tell.
sorry if this question has been asked and answered before but i couldn't find a definitive answer other than "buy it and see"
