Forcing an IPD setting lower than 58mm

Is there any way to force the Oculus software to a setting lower than 58mm?
My physical IPD is fine, the reason I'm trying to go lower than 58mm is that I'm trying to increase the apparent world size in a certain game I'm playing (it has no slider for world size so the only way to change it is by lowering the Oculus IPD setting).
