In the second chapter of the Quran, Surah Al-Baqarah, the first ayah is "Alif-Lãm-Mĩm." There's not much more explanation after that either. When you look up what the meaning of it is (from the Islamic perspective) you generally get answers similar to this.
Which I find to be pretty accurate, but I can't help but notice that while this isn't the exact same, this looks strikingly similar to the Three Mother Letters in Hebrew. Aleph Men Shin play a big role in Qabalah from what I can remember and have tons of mystical importance, especially in the context of creation.
Is the Quran talking about the same thing or is it just a coincidence? Because even the Islamic explanation of that ayah is that there's mystical/hidden knowledge in those letters and the importance of letters themselves.
I'm not a Muslim so maybe I'm misinterpreting the ayah, but does anyone have any more info on this or looked into this as well?
