Occultism in Advertising
Post Body

Hello, I’ve been playing around with an idea of how certain occult practices and ideas have translated into modern advertisement practices.

Some quick examples would be, how sigils became logos, how companies use archetypal figures to create deeper subconscious connections, and how media performs modern-day rituals.

Essentially spirituality in the West has been taken over in all facets by consumerism in the same way the Catholic Church took over pagan societies. By building their churches on top of ours and stealing our sacred rites to get us to easily transition into obeying their doctrine.

Does anyone else share this perspective? Or am I totally off base? I know many people here have a deeper and more eclectic knowledge and understanding of esotericism as a whole so I’m hoping to get some different viewpoints on this idea.
