interesting that both of these songs also rely on books as metaphors for interpersonal relationships (in the former, for Conor's solipsism, and in the latter, for a romantic relationship)
based on the story Conor tells in this performance of Feb 15 (where he mentions courting her "in his parents' basement"), I think it's safe to say both of these songs are about Neely Jenkins (singer in Tilly & the Wall, also Conor's one-time neighbor, Park Ave. bandmate, and girlfriend)
