Need help with downloading mods from Vortex

I have been trying to get mods for my copy of oblivion on steam by going through nexus mods for oblivion and downloading them through vortex. Every time I try downloading a mod it tells me it failed and that I have an invalid link. this is not just 1 or 2 mods but every mod I have tried both for oblivion or Skyrim. I have also gone to the button to "fix" nexus mods on chrome but that didn't work either. I have also tried downloading it through firefox but the same issue happens.
