CA Healthcare question for someone who makes ~25k per year.

$90 per month? That's the cheapest quote I got from CoveredCA process. It seems too high. I have a coworker with the same job that pays $10 per month. Why?

More importantly, am I going to get fined on my tax return without insurance? If so, how much? I'm a healthy individual who very rarely visits the doc (not even once per year). I am thinking of just taking the hit on the tax return instead.

(Weird side note - coworker who makes the same per year as me owes $500 on his tax return. I thought the fine was ~$90-$100.)
