Birds
Post Body

Hello my gardening squad!

Wondering if you all have any suggestions that aren’t nets, on how to keep the birds off!

I literally planted my rhubarb, and the birds have swooped on in and just eating the leaves from the new growth, so it’s like I have harvested it…

Or do they just really love rhubarb?

We have two huge cherry trees on the property, that the birds eat every year, which is fine, as they aren’t the red cherries we all know, and historically, they get the cherries and they leave my berries and everything alone.

It’s my first year with rhubarb, and if it helps, I also have the following.

Chives, basil, coriander, Brussel sprouts, snow peas, broccoli, celery, cauliflower, bok choi, silver beet and spinach.

The herbs are in a certain area seperate from the rest, the snow peas are seperate with runners so if I do need to cover, I can do this, but it’s just so much hassle..

Thanks squad!
