This guy is 29 years old and he just got released from Jacksonville for cap reasons. According to overthecap.com, he is set to make just north of two million dollars from the dead money on his contract this year, meaning he's probably willing to sign cheap and let the dead money balance everything out (see: Calvin Pace signing for the vet minimum while earning dead money from us this year)
Nwaneri is a guard with a lot of starting experience that grades decently in pass protection which is our line's biggest weakness. He's supposedly not great against the run, but if we could get him for a contract like the one's Idzik brokered last offseason, he would be a great depth addition to the guard position where we sorely need it.
Finally, this move makes a lot of sense if Nwarneri is worth it, because Idzik came from Seattle with Jags head coach Gus Bradley and probably wouldn't have any trouble getting the low down on him.
