Onto the next one, the formula for a win on the road in Cincy
Post Body

Hey guys, Beard here:

I figured I'd write down some quick thoughts on how the Jets can take all the fire they probably having brewing inside them after beating the Pats at home and turn it into their first multiple win stretch of the season.

This game is going to be defined by two battles:

  • Antonio Cromartie on AJ Green. If Cromartie can take the deep ball out of the game like he did against the Falcons, we'll force the Bengals to be a bottled up offense that spends an uncomfortable amount of time on the same field with the Snack Exchange.

  • Nick Mangold on Geno Atkins. If Mangold can prevent Atkins from mismatching all over our o-line, we'll have a chance for Geno to make some big plays against another defense that's missing it's number 1 corner.

I also think execution is going to be a big part of this game. I've seen Marty stick to the passing game when I felt like the other team couldn't stop the run, and amazingly I saw him let Chris Ivory fall down before the line over and over when Geno seemed like he couldn't miss against the Pats. If we can go out and find a way to change pace, tempo, and medium of attack throughout the game, our defense can bring us home.
