Hi! I'm enrolled in a novel-writing class at The Gotham Center after taking a fiction course earlier this year. I love it, but it's 100% remote at the moment. I would very much enjoy meeting folks in person to write and workshop together in a vibey cafe.
If all works out, I'm hoping to establish a weekly meetup: Thursdays, 7:30 PM at Blank Slate in NoMad, starting this week (9/1). Prefer to keep location/time consistent every week. We can try out several cafes until we find one with which we fully jive (open to suggestions!).
The goal is to power through our drafts/etc. while sharing elements of our work, brainstorming, workshopping -- all the fun and inspiring things. And, of course, I'm hoping to make real friends who are also passionate about writing. :)
P.S. Writing fiction is not a requirement! I'm a copywriter at a cosmetics company by day and wrote in women's media during/fresh out of college. I welcome any kind of writer/poet.
