i have gotten a steady stream of messages and attacks from that space that i started ignoring them... On record 4 logins were banned (it is my suspicion that it was the same user under multiple alias') Messages moderated on the basis of sustained accusations / and a tone that we hear far too many times, a tone that fails to recognize that there is a human behind the keys. There is no reason to shout or use terms to accuse one way or the other in an open discussion. Those bans will stay. for any that want to see the detail, happy to show a full transcript of the conversations including those in mod-mail.

on my part - there was never a doubt ... the reference to BRO has no connotation beyond similar uses of bro/boo/dude/Babe! all four of which signify a sense of bonding, friendship and comradery and not an indication of how muscular or masculine men here. this should not allow for any discrimination and hope we stay that way.

We will still moderate every post and message that has any form of discriminatory phrasing in it be it BWC/BBC, Fat v Fit, Race or otherwise and hope you will continue flagging them.. for those subjected to it, i get it, and we will collectively drive a small tiny change.

Some people think being online behind anonymity gives them the license to be a certain person they wouldn't want to be in their real life. Like many here, i am not one of them. I believe we are all mature people who have the intellect to judge for themselves, No one needs to swear to get us to change, not at a time we all are dealing with some trauma or other.
