Hi, y’all. I usually buy all my clothes for the year on Black Friday, but I’ve been delinquent last couple of years and just haven’t bought any new clothes at all. lol. I think I’m about ready to just throw out my whole wardrobe and start over. Send recommendations for brands that I might like? I want to branch out, especially to the less obvious options.

For more casual, I usually shop at Zara, Flaherty, Banana Republic, J. Crew. For shoes, I like Onitsuka Tiger, Puma, and New Balance. I tend to have a bit of clean cut aesthetic in the main, but I need some more urban/grungy/New York forward clothes for going out—especially for more techno, underground, etc. parties. I don’t even know where to go to get it. lol. Most of my urban wear has been coming from Amazon to date.

For more formal, I like Bonobos, Saks, Calvin Klein, etc. Need new work clothes, too.

Also, I need help with winter clothing for gays. I moved to New York from somewhere warm and have no idea what I’m doing. I generally think coats are ugly and just kind of gave up and accepted the ugly, lol, but there are some coats that look nice. Where do y’all buy coats? Patagonia has some cute stuff, but I don’t know where to go otherwise.

Generally speaking, I would like to be a little more creative and inspired about my wardrobe. I’m going to the same places everyone else is going. Are there any men’s fashion magazines that people like for inspiration? I subscribed to GQ for a while, but their suggestions were always ridiculously expensive items that I would zero percent ever consider buying, so it’s not helpful.
