I went to Dads and Lads a while back and here was my experience.

For context I wasn’t really there for sex. I have never been to a sex party and I was curious and will try anything once (or twice).

I’m 26 years old, black, 6’2, average to athletic build.

Check in process: pretty simple. You pay the $30 then go to the couches to change, you bring your stuff to the staff and they give you a ticket.

Clothing: it’s suggested that you go in naked with just your sneakers, which the vast majority of people do. 98% of the men there are naked. I wore sneakers and boxer briefs.

Facility: it’s very dark, like kinda hard to see people’s faces dark. There are lots of couches, a couple swings and a bed. There are places to sit and stroke and watch. There are places that are less lit than others for a dark room vibe if you’re into that. The only “well” lit places are the bathrooms.

Attendees: the crowd does skew older and white. There were 35-40 guys while I was there and some POC, maybe 10-12. There were about 4, maybe 5 guys under 30, myself included. There were a lot of older men there 50, 60 , and a decent crowd of guys 30-40. (Of course this is an opinion and subjective but I think there were only 4 “hot” guys I’d want to hookup with there.)

Body types: most people were height weight proportionate with the exception of 1-2 guys. There were a few fit guys but mostly average guys and lots of dad bods.

Vibe: everyone was pretty respectful and chill. It’s not really a place for conversation, at least I didn’t see anyone having conversation. It was fairly quiet, almost like a library. Even the guys who were getting fucked were fairly quiet. Everyone just walks around looking in the different rooms until they engage with someone. People were sitting on couches, masturbating or waiting to get approached.

Interactions: I didn’t hook up with anyone. In terms of showing interest, there were a lot of non verbal cues. A few guys came up to me, made eye contact or a slight head nod, others approached and gently touched me which I assume was them showing interest. I just gently looked away or politely shook my head and that was more than enough to show I wasn’t interested.

XXX: there was a decent amount of fucking, blowjobs, and mutual/single jerking. Lots of guys were just walking around fondling themselves until they got some action. There were 2 under 30 bottoms there that were getting a bit of action to which many of the older guys flocked to to watch and maybe get in on.

Overall: I’d probably go again if I didn’t have to pay $30 bucks. It was definitely an interesting experience and I don’t regret going (more of a check off the bucket list). I don’t think I’m a big fan of sex with people I don’t know well but I understand the appeal. I think I’d rather go with someone I know and exclusively hook up with them in front of everyone lol
