I didn't really understand how lucrative sex work is until today, when I got a message from a "generous" guy on Grindr. Long story short, I "worked" for an hour and earned about the same amount I would in an 8 hour shift at my regular job. Despite being just an average carbon-copy twunk, I threw out a number and he enthusiastically said yes. Looking back, I'm sure I could have gotten more.

I never thought of sex work as a side hustle, I always just thought that people did it to pay rent, buy food, survive, etc. But I'm a full time CUNY student and part time retail worker, so the cash helps. For the purposes of financial security, I can certainly put my feelings aside for an hour to have sex with someone I'm not interested in. I don't mean to glamorize it, but I'm willing to take the health/safety risks in exchange for great pay.

I was hoping to connect with people who know the industry. I understand that it's not the safest or healthiest job, but the money is solid. I wanted to ask if there was anything you wish you knew before you started doing sex work. Also, what precautions do you take beforehand to ensure your safety? Thank you very much.
