I was recommended to 'come off the apps' and 'meet guys in person' so I am looking for some good suggestions of where to even go.

Here is my experience so far.

1. Dance parties: depending on the party, it's all kinda limited to that night (mostly because the guys are drugged up) or many guys attending are with partners etc, and/or friend groups that are hard to break into. A surprising number of guys at the 'bigger parties' (like HMD) are not even living in NY.
2. Boinking parties: fun, but the focus is just boinking as many guys as you can, so can also be hit/miss in terms of getting someone back. Midtown usually has more visitors.
3. Sports clubs: very hit/miss. Not really a regular attendance (and those that are typically are taken or not looking for anything beyond that event) kind of thing I find (several guys I know literally found BF's and stopped coming).
4. Bars: i've not explored many, but anytime I've been I rarely see a guy I like (usually the bartender), so again end up going back on apps to even find a lay. Maybe I am going to the wrong bars?
5. Gym: very hit/miss because of the times people train (doesn't seem very regular) but yes at least I see some hotties here. they all seem in their own world through or quick to leave.
6. Streets: literally asked a handful of guys on the street if I found them hot, but its harder than it looks (guys walk so fast here haha) and so its also hit/miss.

Where is this 'secret land of better men' who are not on apps?
