Heya. I am a gay from SF visiting NYC for a month. I am here frequently and think the taste I see in clothes here is much better here than in SF. Im tall and have a nice build but my fashion sense is just absolutely 100% shit. Like i'm the tragic athletic gay always wearing short shorts and a tanktop to any event where I may want to flirt....

Anywho.... time to change that. I am looking for the following:

  • Well fitting stylish pants that would look good shirtless too. Trick is I am 6'3" and have thick biker thighs so I may have to hunt.
  • New tops. Slightly looser fitting but stylish shirts. Button down or otherwise. If I can show some chest without it being "tight" even better.
  • Jewelry. I currently wear none. Necklaces, bracelets, rings, idk. I need some accessories. I need to sort of find my character there. Cheaper is probably better here so I can just try some stuff out.
  • Casual outfits. Like nice textured shirts, neat graphic tees.
  • Outfits good for fetish nights. I love my bulldog harness but I need to spread out.
  • Cheap stylish sneakers (size 13) so I can match my outfit to my shoes more often
  • Stylish well fitting, slightly tapered at waist, sweaters.

Found a lot of thrift stores have great selection for women. And while I sometimes find gems there since i'm such a big guy it's often not my size.

As far as price I am fine with a few "H&M/Zara" priced pieces, <5 designer pieces, and am mostly looking to thrift. Could y'all please recommend a few places I might look for clothes? Especially if it's a thrift store that has good selection for men.

A plus is if they have employees that can steer me to good decisions (I am forever in debt to the Style on J employee who informed me "Pink it just not your color" after I tried it a few times).

I have an e bike and a lot of time next week to shop. Send me to anywhere NJ transit, LIRR, or MTA can take me.

6'3" 190lbs, caucasian, M (sometimes L) on t shirts, 32-36" inseam, prefer slim fitting pants.

I like minimalism, flat colors, blues, greens, tans, grays, blacks as far as colors. Im more going for blend in than stand out.
