I am not validating racial preferences in dating or hookups, but we all know thereā€™s a large segment of the community that has them. Whether you call it preference or sexual racism or something else, it exists.

Although it was not great in the past to see someone say ā€œno blacks, no Asiansā€ or to have someone list every race except yours as their preference, at least you knew and didnā€™t waste time trying to engage or trying to figure out why they didnā€™t respond. Now itā€™s harder and honestly more demoralizing. At least thatā€™s true for me - others may disagree.

Do I want a return to the old days? No, not really. But the current version where folks are just too polite (ashamed?) to admit it also isnā€™t working.
